Fast forward a month. I’ve been working full time at PowerTeam Exelon for a little over a month now. I’m still dealing with various growing pains that come with being out of school and working. As Vishad once said…

Vishad: yo
Vishad: whens our spring break…what dates
Me: you tell me
Vishad: oh thats right. your from the real world
Me: yes I am from the real world.

Work is hectic. Basically getting stuff offloaded onto me dump trucks at a time. Things have been somewhat stressful, but hard work seems to be paying off, with accolades coming from peers and the boss.

Spent the weekend in York.. releasing some stress Saturday at the climb-nasium with Wyatt and “The White Stallion”. Got together at Pat’s place in the evening for a little social gathering. Met up with Nate for lunch on Sunday and coffee with Shannon.

Seeing my buddies was so momentous. It has unfortunately become a rarity. Time shared with friends who I haven’t seen in a long time, I probably appreciate them more than I ever did when I was in school where seeing friends was something that was expected from the day.

Other thing I’ve realized is that when I go to work everyday and come home in the afternoon, I’m usually exhausted and don’t have the energy or the mental capacity to do anything.

It is the unforeseen truth.

New York Windham 2006

And part two of my adventure began right after returning home from Canada. Conditions weren’t as great here in NY. Got there in the evening, everyone roaring to get out on the slopes. Turns out they weren’t open for night skiing that day. So we went back to the house and started drinking. We had great conditions our first day. It was amazing just carving around sharp corners, flying by little children, nearly missing them. Drinking commenced.

On our last day, Brian, Paul, Maria, and I, a more experienced crowd, went on a double black which was completely iced over and later went to the terrain park to launch ourselves off this massive jump. I ended up landing on my face bleeding. My right eye was pretty swollen the next day. That was the end of that trip. Rode back with Lisa who I found to be a very likable person where as Isacc on the other hand.. is a complete ass hole who needs to shave his fucking neck. He has pubes growing out of his neck… seriously

Canada 2005-2006

Canada is a very vast country with huge areas of open space. The scenery was very desertish.. nothing really admirable until we had a chance to explore Quebec City. Christina drove 14 hours strait! She was tired, but never asked to switch out which made me ever so nervous. Not sure what drove her. Was it her desire for bragging rights, or her feminist mentality? Don’t know. She ended up doing all the driving on that trip. Didn’t bother me.

Probably one of the most hysterical incidents I have ever witnessed was at a McDonalds in Quebec. Christina and Nicole were roughhousing around. During which time Christina starts slapping Nicole in the face. I could see these two ladies over Christina’s shoulder just completely shocked and dumbfounded. The best part was when they left; they walked over and said to Nicole, “You shouldn’t let boys hit you in the face like that”. Boy being a very boyish looking Christina.

The conditions were generally pretty good on the slopes. Got tired after the second day. Went clubbing and sight seeing Quebec City. Ate sandwiches for a week strait. On our last day we stopped at this mall with an Imax, rollercoaster, ice rink, climbing wall, and bumper cars. Made it back across the boarder without any problems.

Graduation was December 19th, a chilly Monday night. We went alphabetically by last name and I ended up being the last IST student to walk. It was a bittersweet moment that I will remember always. I was over faster that it took to get started.

Stew’s had a get together at his house the day after which I must say, was a well timed, momentous occasion. Pat and Sundt made the drive down, along with Carlos, Ariane, and Jen from York. Just about everyone from the Sasha crew bailed, which was quite upsetting.

This brings us to the 21st. Went to Philly with Ena for some birthday bowling and met up with York folks for dinner at (Iron Chef) Molimoto’s. Hitched a ride back to York with the Carr Brothers.

Spent Christmas Eve at home with the family in NJ. I remember the weather being pretty gloomy, but it was definitely a relaxing day. Spent Christmas with the Chen family. We had dinner and spent the evening playing Jenga and watching various movies in the backdrop.

Post Christmas, mom threw a party and invited her boss and co-workers. The night consisted of some indoor tennis at Fox Chase Tennis Club and dinner back at house. Met George, someone I recognized from PSU Tennis, whose parents happen to work with my mom. Fun night.
